This is not a parenting course. It is an invitation for parents to join the same Loving Our Students on Purpose (LoSoP) journey that teachers, leaders, and schools are walking. LoSoP is a cultural shift — from control to connection, from fear to love, from behaviour management to behaviour education.

As teachers practice these tools with students in classrooms, parents are invited to learn and live them at home. The goal is shared language, shared culture, and shared growth — so that children experience consistency between their school and family environments.

What to Expect:

Eight brief teaching videos (3-10 mins) explaining a core concept and connecting it to both classroom and family life.
A Pause & Connect activity to do with your spouse or family, designed to build reflection, conversation, and practice.

This is a journey of learning, unlearning, and relearning — for parents, teachers, and children alike. Just as it can feel challenging for you at home, it is also challenging for teachers in classrooms. Be patient and kind with yourself and with your school as together you grow in this new way of relating.

Connection as the Goal – Building rope-strong relationships instead of fragile, tissue-thin ones.
Freedom and Choices – Moving from control to freedom, managing our “big red buttons.”
Introduction to Behaviour Education – Shifting from behaviour management (external threats) to behaviour education (internal ownership).
Becoming Powerful Parents – Avoiding powerless dynamics and practicing the three behaviours of a powerful person.
Mistakes, Messes, and One-Liners – Protecting connection during arguments with simple responses.
The Empowerment Model – Guiding other people through the 6 Es: Empathy, Empower, Explore, Educate, Expect, Encourage.
Love Wins – Choosing love over fear, and aligning family and school culture for lasting impact.

Your Next Step

Lean in, reflect honestly, and give it a go. You can do this course on your own, with your spouse or even as a family in an afternoon or spread it over eight weeks. Top Tip: come prepared with your favourite snacks, get matching notebooks and make it a fun experience.

The real work happens not in the videos but in the daily unseen moments — how you show up, how you respond, and how you choose connection over control. Together, with your child’s school, you are building a culture where each person is beloved, chosen, and cherished.
